Compliance Continuing Education

Is one of your biggest challenges educating your staff on an ongoing basis? Let ProMed's Compliance Continuing Education Program help! This simple, convenient educational service will provide you and your staff with the in-services that you need to enhance clinical knowledge.

The Compliance Continuing Education Program covers more than 20 categories with a variety of offerings appropriate for the majority of your nursing staff, including:

· 57 courses geared toward nurses with 69.5 CEUs
· 12 courses for licensed nursing home administrators with 17.25 CEUs
· 3 registered dietitian/dietitian tech courses with 3 CEUs
· 2 social worker courses with 2 CEUs
· 1 respiratory therapist course with an accompanying CEU
· 31 certificate courses, 18 geared toward CNAs and 12 for general staff

These online courses can be taken anywhere staff members have access to a computer, whether it's at home, work or a public library. At the end of each course, a certificate with the designated CEUs will be available for staff members to print and bring in for their personnel records.

If your staff doesn't have easy access to computers and the Internet, we can offer you access to our in-house library of more than 80 CDs and DVDs for facility in-services. These disks can be ordered with your routine medical supply order from ProMed. Please note that CEU credits are not available with the CDs and DVDs.

Here's how to get started with the Compliance Continuing Education Program in a few simple steps:

  1. You must be an active buying customer in good standing* with us for no less than 90 consecutive days.
  2. Place your program order through your ProMed territory manager.
  3. Sign a one-year subscription agreement for a nominal fee (per facility) to gain unlimited online access for all members of your staff.
  4. Assign a "System Administrator" to manage your facility's staff within the system.
  5. If your facility is part of a chain or multi-home group, you will be signed up under their corporate entity name and all facilities under their management or ownership must participate as defined above.

In-Service Guide

ProMed has created a number of in-service guides that are designed to be left with your staff after in-servicing is completed. These guides take staff members step by step through the programs and procedures that are most important to your facility. They're perfect for your orientation program!

Resource Manuals

We designed our resource manuals to be the ultimate go-to resource for direct care staff when they have a challenging resident. They're tied directly to regulatory information so that caregivers have the information they need right at their fingertips.

Each resource manual was designed to offer guidance on a specific F-tag and explain how it could potentially affect caregivers, staff and residents. Examples of recent resource manuals include:

· F-323: Accidents


During interdisciplinary team meetings, caregivers can refer to the resource manuals to choose products for individual residents. The manuals also provide clinical rationales and care plan goals.
